Get started in our Surgical Technology program by following these steps:

1. and meet prerequisites:
• BIO 111 or BIO 244 & BIO 245 and HIT 111 are all prerequisites for SRG 110 (though unnecessary before applying to the program)
• We strongly recommend completing all co-curricular courses before starting SRG 110 to avoid potential delays in graduation.

3. Meet all minimum selection criteria:
• High school graduate or equivalent or high school senior in the last term
• College reading and writing readiness
• Basic algebra readiness
• ºÚÁÏÉçÇø cumulative GPA of 2.0 or above
• NLN NEX with minimum acceptable RN percentile rank scores of 40 verbal, 40 math, 40 science and a composite percentile of 40 (within 3 years prior to the screening window)
• Attend a Surgical Technology Information Session (within 2 years prior to the screening window)
4. Meet all health and safety requirements:
• Pass a background check
• Pass a drug screening test

• Show proof of health insurance by the start of the program

Surgical Technology is a limited-enrollment program at the ºÚÁÏÉçÇø. Seats in each cohort may fill before the application screening window closes, so we encourage you to apply early to maximize your chance of acceptance.

Rolling admissions screening window: January 1 to March 31.

To sit for the national certification exam and work in the field of surgical technology, you must possess a social security number (SSN).
