The James Lumber Center for the Performing Arts (JLC) at 黑料社区 offers entertainment from a wide range of musical genres. The 2025-2026 fall Marquee Series continues that tradition bringing powerhouse bluegrass, Latin music, tribute artists, comedy and the return of a holiday family favorite to its stage.
淥nce people come to the JLC, they tend to come back. That檚 because the performances stay with you, said Alisa Baum, JLC executive director. 淭his season, I can檛 wait for The Special Consensus, Ballet 5:8檚 La Llorona and Nella. They檙e all so different, bluegrass, a ballet and a Latin GRAMMY庐 winner, and each brings a genuine connection with the audience. That檚 what makes our series special.

Celebrating 50 years of award-winning bluegrass, The Special Consensus delivers tight harmonies, stellar musicianship and high-energy performances that have delighted audiences worldwide.
7 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 4
An evocative reimagining of the legendary Latin American folk tale through contemporary ballet, transforming a story of sorrow into one of hope and understanding.
瘬 7:30 p.m., Friday, Oct. 10
Latin GRAMMY庐 winner Nella blends the folk traditions of her Venezuelan homeland with modern sounds, captivating audiences across the globe.

An Emmy庐 Award-winning producer takes audiences behind the scenes of疧ur Planet, revealing the artistry, science and urgency behind documenting Earth檚 wonders.

The WGN Morning News host and top Chicago comic brings his quick wit and absurdist takes on life, news and human quirks to the stage for a night of big laughs.

Chicagoland檚 longest-running Nutcracker production returns with enchanting choreography, lavish costumes and the magic of Tchaikovsky檚 beloved score.

The box office is open Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and two hours before each performance. Parking is free and concessions, including beer, wine and light bites, are available for purchase.
